A Roman Catholic Canadian's take on faith, law and life
About Me
- Name: Becky
- Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States
I'm a Roman Catholic, Canadian lawyer who recently graduated from University of Notre Dame Law School. About ten years ago I was won over by the love of Jesus Christ in His Holy, Apostolic Church. This blog is dedicated to the quest of integrating Catholicism and the legal profession. It explores the meaning of "law as a vocation" and orthodoxy in the Catholic Church. Actually, that sounds a little too noble - it's just a place to post all of my thoughts and concerns for the day, rather than sending a million links to my friends and family. Enjoy!

Hey all! Sorry this is in the comments but the computer isn't letting me put anything in the posting box, just the title box. So comments it is.
Everything is wonderful here. There are way more people than Germany prepared for. Tonight we didn't make it to the opening Mass, which was held at 3 locations, because our site only had room for 50,000 and there were about 150,000 trying to get in. So disappointing, but we listened to it on the radio.
We are staying in a small parish in Solingen, a suburb of Köln. There are a hundred or so of us on the gym floor. There are showers, which is a step up from Toronto, definitely.
More soon!!! We are converting Germany through our train singing and joy and love!
For those who don't know, I'm with the Grand Rapids group of about 100. This morning we went to downtown Köln to see the cathedral and go to a Youth 2000 event. We adored the Blessed Sacrament with about 2000 people, singing praise songs and just worshipping His Presence. It was amazing! Confession was in every language and the lines were filled with people. Everyone I've met so far from all the countries of the world has been so filled with joy and love for God. What a great blessing WYD is!!
Beck,
Wondering if I should send legal papers for David to give power of attorney to me in case NW goes on strike? Is there an address to email or fax (best) to or overnight mail?
Miss and love you guys! HI to the pope!
