Planned Parenthood Supports Violence against Pro-Lifers

The full story, plus the video link can be found here. Not that I'm really surprised, but it is pretty sick. So the true colors of PP begin to show, eh?

How is it that all pro-lifers get labeled when a crazy hypocrite lunatic kills an abortion doctor, but when the biggest abortion provider in the U.S. makes a video about "Superheroes for Choice" killing pro-life people, there's hardly a peep out of the media? That video is coming from the top, people. There's no official spokesman to take it back and say that abortion providers don't advocate violence against pro-lifers. PP IS the official voice of the pro-abortion movement.

UPDATE: PP has removed the video from their website. (I guess someone other than me complained.)

Did you actually watch this video? It's just stupid. If pro-lifers didn't cause a shitstorm over stuff like this, no one would even notice.

Man, I wish I could wake up EVERY morning and somebody else is out doing my work for me. I don't even need to comment or juxtaposition on this one. (even though I REALLY REALLY wanted to do some Captain Planet related humor - the temptation is nearly overtaking me). Nope. Feel so . . . unnecessary.

I agree JT. I don't think a "shitstorm" is required but simply stating how futile and desperate this latest effort by PP to demonize the pro-life movement is would be sufficient.
The new PP boycott list is out so maybe PP doesn't have enough money anymore to make a descent video and they had to pay a cheap cartoonist to do their dirty work.
This video is a tell tale sign that they're losing. Remember, all the vile stuff comes out when you're falling behind - it happens in politics/it happens in the culture wars.
Laugh it off - we're winning

I'm sorry, this is just too much fun to not be humble/prayerful like I should and take a final dose of shutup as the summer ends.

I think the tragic thing is this that this stuff ISN'T mainstream - you know, right there in public school in kindergarten on up. (I was just about spitting up yesterday's coffee and ROTF when Dionysus started talking about the First Amendment as if it is some STD we haven't figured out how to cure and have to deal with until then, . . . and then the RICO treble damages against pro-life assembly can flow like milk and honey!)

Of course, I would feel sorry for those parents who can't home school or privately matriculate (which may be me oneday! (gulp)), but it would just be so hilarious and exciting to live in an age where people writ large accept this kind of Hitler Youth Era propaganda. Love it, Defend it, Love it, Excuse it, Defend it, Love it, it will only convice me I am living in a most historic and dangerous (read FUN) time for me and my kin.

Tune in kids for our next adventure, as Dionysus teams up with Bob Barker to convince McGruff the Crime Dog and the Entire Male population of San Francisco to have a vasectomy.

I support violence against pro-lifers that, in their own right, support people like Eric Rudolph. He was shielded for a significant period of his fugitive days by pro-lifers. To not acknowledge that is hypocrisy at its best.

Sit down on this couch and tell me what's REALLY bothering you.

True, Rudolph may have been supported by sympathizers, but you'll notice he had to hide in uber-rural north carolina or wherever to do so. To think a terrorist like Rudolph would have been harbored by the vast majority of pro-lifers is fantastical, and you know it. Entertain as many delusions as you need to the contrary to give more life to your rationally-deprived cause.

And BTW, do you also support violence and vendetta against all alleged criminals and terrorists, or is your limitation purely arbitrary, driven by pent-up hatred against the peaceful, politically-active mainstream, who earn no justified ire from you but disagreement ?

Hey frieds, sorry for the excessive posting, but . . .

William Donahue posted this recently on his website Catholicleague.org, this is from a reply by Ted Kennedy to a constituent 18 months or so before Roe. Funny, that poltics.

“While the deep concern of a woman bearing an unwanted child merits consideration and sympathy, it is my personal feeling that the legalization of abortion on demand is not in accordance with the value which our civilization places on human life. Wanted or unwanted, I believe that human life, even at its earliest stages, has certain rights which must be recognized—the right to be born, the right to love, the right to grow old.

“On the question of the individual’s freedom of choice there are easily available birth control methods and information which women may employ to prevent or postpone pregnancy. But once life has begun, no matter at what stage of growth, it is my belief that termination should not be decided merely by desire.

“When history looks back to this era it should recognize this generation as one which cared about human beings enough to halt the practice of war, to provide a decent living for every family, and to fulfill its responsibility to its children from the very moment of conception.”

Donahue then notes how Kennedy has been one of the strongest supporters of partial birth abortion.

Nah, it's more like that Seinfeld episode w Dan Cortez. Except for me it's Jack Bauer, as played by Keifer Sutherland, in the hit show 24. He's just so cool. I was blessed with an affinity for the lovely lady types, so it's just a platonic sidekick thing between us.

Good response though. I'll be checking Sunday's Parade magazine for psychotherapy coupons.

ignoring the ramblings of Andrew....it's true JT. This is a ridiculous cartoon- it's a mockery of itself and it's a shame this planned parenthood branch off even made it. But it's coming from the top?? What are you talking about Becky - this is the SF branch of PP not some widely circulated media campaign. It's not mainstream any more than the nutso abortion doctor killers are mainstream. It's just totally weird, over-the-top nonsense. If you can call this the true colors of PP then I can say the true colors of pro-life people are aligned with the murdering bastards who actually commit acts of violence at abortion clinics (rather than just drawing them). Come on, give me a break. This is ridiculous and you lessen your own credibility by treating this as though it's some mainstream ad campaign that the average pro-choice person would even find amusing.

Anon,

I'm not looking for credibility honors from you. The point is - if pro-lifers had done similar things with a cartoon (decapitating pro-choicers), we would have heard about it for a year, and it would have been covered in every major newspaper. It wouldn't matter how small the venue or how "branched off" the group.

My POINT is that we didn't get a peep about this in the media. Go the other way and the pro-life movement would be destroyed by Planned Parenthood and all their spokespersons. They would whine and moan and demand apologies for months on end. However silly you think this video is, if it went the other way not a single pro-choice person would blow it off as "just a joke," and you know it.

I agree the cartoon was a mockery of itself, and I have pity for the small minds that produced it, but it's ironic that earlier in the week we called it so extreme (myself included), and then NARAL floated the intrinsically false ad about Judge Roberts, planning to air it in the national market. That thing was out of the gate about 10 seconds before the backpedaling started.

Becky, you don't get a peep about this in the media because a couple of nutjobs in the SF office of PP produced it and probably more people saw it via the link from your blog than from any other source. No one cares.

Obviously you do, and from that HIDEOUS picture, you should concentrate on other things ... like makeup.

disagreements aside, jt is my friend and that kind of ad hominem attack is worthless and severely mean spirited.

Looks like anonymous was just lashing out b/c he (she) was bested intellectually and had no where else to turn to...
