My Local Bishop Stands up for Marriage
I was happy to read that my local Bishop (Richard Smith, the Bishop of the Diocese of Pembroke, Ontario), told members of the Catholic Women's League (CWL) that Parliament's approval of same-sex marriage was a "terrible mistake." Story here. I've always been very impressed with this Bishop, who, when he was first appointed to the Pembroke Diocese, said that his favorite thing to talk about was the Eucharist. Always a good sign.I'll comment later on Bush's morning-after pill disaster. For a good critique of "Plan B" go here. Please keep in your prayers those women and children who will be harmed/killed by this decision.

The Bishop of London Ontario, Ronald Peter Fabro, gave a moving homily on the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist this sunday, at the 11 AM mass. St. Peter's Cathedral Basilica in London Ontario.
I really appreciate a good old fashioned Homily on that subject. He spoke of his mother, encouraging him to come with the family, to daily mass, when he was a teenager, and he wanted to sleep in. She'd say, "Jesus is waiting for you across the street". (They lived almost across the street from their parish.).
Isn't that wonderful? I thought so.

I love the blog that you have. I was wondering if you would link my blog to yours and in return I would do the same for your blog. If you want to, my site name is American Legends and the URL is:
www.americanlegends.blogspot.com
If you want to do this just go to my blog and in one of the comments just write your blog name and the URL and I will add it to my site.
Thanks,
David

Rebecca ... my husband, Tom O'Toole, (a.k.a.) Fighting Irish Thomas, stumbled(?) upon your blog through a Google search for "Bishop D'Arcy".
If you have a link to one of your posts that concerns your conversion, stories about ND, Our Lady on the Dome, etc., we can place a link to them on our additional site (a Catholic Drudge Report), Cathlete.net or you can write something new for your blog we can link to! Or you can send us a link to anything you have published, etc.
Here's the link to the article Tom was searching "Bishop D'Arcy" for:
Notre Dame, Abortion, and Obama: Our Lady's Civil War?
Our e-mail is gettable through the above links. Or we'd love to hear back from you via commentary. Either way, cool blog, cool story!
God bless,
Jeanette
